The length of this series, which is set for 52 weeks is for you to become more familiar with your strengths and weaknesses as a sexual abuse survivor. While I encourage everyone to go at their own pace & to know that the doors will always remain open for questions as a community or individually. All the while, the work to cleanse & heal will begin within you just as in the traditional settings of nature.
Let’s Begin with the Affirmation for Week 24 !
Throughout the isolation & anxiety of my abuse, peace became a balance that I would someday measure out – a wholeness where panic & intrusion would dissipate & an exponential level of wisdom is pronounced. My Spirit continues to seek out times to heal in quiet destinations in an effort to ground prevalent gains in life.
I might have attempted to control my external life in order to cover insecurities. This was successful just for a temporarily basis. I had not yet focused internally to develop & practice a peace within- the wholeness that emanates my central core of existence.
Today I am aware that my sense of peace could be energized by, but not dependent on, my external reality. Peace & tranquility is more than the absence of the nature of people. It is a state of being present to & accepting myself- of being inner-connected to my energy of truth.
When I am aligned with a balance to express & release distressing & manipulative thoughts of emotion- especially from the close chords in connection to others. I will create a space built within for peace to stand on its foundation. I will gradually begin to settle & feel the glimmers of insight, established by forthright inner peace that has eluded me for years. As I move more into this process, I will more easily connect to my inner serenity. I will know that it is always available for me-sometimes just a breath away.
Right now I know that I am most deserving of experiencing this peace that I’ve longed for & am willing to maintain its effects every day.
