The length of this series, which is set for 52 weeks is for you to become more familiar with your strengths and weaknesses as a sexual abuse survivor. While I encourage everyone to go at their own pace & to know that the doors will always remain open for questions as a community or individually. All the while, the work to cleanse & heal will begin within you just as in the traditional settings of nature.
Respect others' boundaries.
Ask for consent.
Intervene when someone's in trouble.
Notice the warning signs of abuse and speak up.
Nurture myself and others
I may have become acclimated to being abused or neglected that it has affected my internal being where this acceptance has created a lowered, secondary sense of things & a way of life for me. Today, as an adult, I can acknowledge with the strength that I deserve to be treated with respect & dignity at all times. Regardless, of my history or even current behavior, I still am worthy of respect & dignity. - just because I am alive.
As I live more consciously aware of moments when I have been abused by someone else’s invocations or inactions. With this growing sense, I can affirm my own credence and choose how I want to address situations where I have once again been violated or abused. The most important lesson is to believe that I deserve to be treated with respect & dignity. Accepting will be my great momentum to act in ways that are respectful & supportive of myself.
No matter where you are right now on your journey as a sexual abuse survivor, remember that there is more to you than what the eye may perceive of the self at this time. You are a Survivor-Stay in action on your healing journey every day and meditate on these concepts, “I Deserve to be Treated with Respect & Dignity.”
Visualize the Affirmation, see it in color or as shaded black and white, however, the mind perceives it, allow for the current response to form naturally. Listen to yourself without judgment and begin to frequently journal this process as you transition the mind to higher knowledge of yourself. “I Deserve to be Treated with Respect & Dignity.”
