“When I notice that I am feeling unsure of myself, I will acknowledge this feeling, own it, and let go of any shame connected to it. I will affirm that I am enough just as I am.”
I may unconsciously equate myself- physical appearance, experiences, and even my actions- to other individuals. I could be comparing my physical aspects to people of the same gender- continuously finding myself unequal.
This form of expression may always dwell within me but I can lessen the imbalanced mindset by discovering the roots of its cause- fear. My sexual abuse had occurred in a way for me to believe that I was ugly, less than, and generally not good enough.
I will be totally transparent this day in order to recognize that this self-doubt does not belong to me. My abuser(s) take ownership, guilt and shame. When I was sexually abused, my spiritual connection to inner joy, beauty, and insight was reduced to self-doubt, always seeking to be “hidden.”
Today I can discern my lack of confidence and acknowledge their source. It may be conducive to visualize the perceived outcome, returning the shame to my abusers and affirm my present gifts of beauty verbally.
No matter where you are right now on your journey as a sexual abuse survivor, remember that there is more to you than what the eye may perceive of the self at this time. You are a Survivor-Stay in action on your healing journey every day and meditate on these concepts, “I Am Learning to Let Go of Self-Doubt.”
Visualize the Affirmation, see it in color or as shaded black and white, however, the mind perceives it, allow for the current response to form naturally. Listen to yourself without judgment and begin to frequently journal this process as you transition the mind to higher knowledge of yourself.
Your Reality in Balance begins at the very moment as the work is placed forth by your intent to grow and change for the betterment of self, aiding in the improvement of mankind!
Balance & Peace…
